National CERT Invites Information Security Consultants For Registration In Pakistan

National Cyber Emergency Response Team (National CERT) of Pakistan has invited qualified Information Security Consultants and cybersecurity professionals to apply for registration under its consultant accreditation framework, aimed at strengthening cybersecurity expertise and professional standards across the country. The registration process remains open for professionals specializing in Information Technology (IT), Operational Technology (OT), and Cloud Security who meet the prescribed eligibility and competency requirements established by National CERT. The initiative is part of broader efforts to support cybersecurity readiness, professional capacity building, and institutional resilience in Pakistan’s growing digital environment.

According to National CERT, the registration process is designed to identify and recognize skilled cybersecurity professionals capable of contributing to the country’s information security ecosystem through verified competencies and domain expertise. Professionals working across IT, OT, and Cloud Security disciplines are encouraged to submit applications if they fulfill the required technical qualifications and professional standards. The framework aims to create a structured and transparent mechanism for recognizing cybersecurity consultants who can assist organizations in strengthening their defensive capabilities, improving risk management practices, and enhancing preparedness against evolving cyber threats. By maintaining clearly defined eligibility criteria and competency requirements, National CERT intends to establish a trusted network of accredited consultants capable of supporting both public and private sector organizations in managing cybersecurity risks more effectively.

Building on the progress of this initiative, National CERT recently completed a comprehensive registration cycle in which a designated Technical Committee conducted detailed assessments of applicants through document reviews and technical presentations. The evaluation process was carried out using a merit based approach to assess the qualifications, technical knowledge, and professional capabilities of participating consultants. Following the assessment phase, a number of professionals were successfully registered across different domains and competency levels. National CERT stated that the completion of this process reflects the effectiveness and credibility of its accreditation mechanism while reinforcing confidence in the evaluation standards applied during consultant registration. The successful implementation of the registration cycle also demonstrated National CERT’s focus on maintaining a transparent and competency driven framework for cybersecurity professional recognition.

National CERT has encouraged additional qualified Information Security Consultants and cybersecurity professionals to participate in the registration process to further expand the country’s pool of accredited cybersecurity expertise. According to the organization, strengthening the community of registered consultants can contribute to improving the integrity, security, and resilience of Pakistan’s digital ecosystem while supporting organizations in enhancing cybersecurity preparedness and operational readiness. Interested professionals may review the eligibility requirements and submit their applications through the National CERT Consultant Registration Portal available at https://lnkd.in/dSF9R6uX. National CERT stated that it remains committed to supporting the development of a highly skilled cybersecurity workforce and advancing national cyber resilience through a transparent, merit based, and competency driven registration process.
