Telenor Pakistan recorded one of the highest compliance scores in the industry, demonstrating consistency in cybersecurity management and its approach toward maintaining robust security standards across its network and operational environment. The CTDISR framework provides guidelines for protecting critical telecom infrastructure and sensitive data, ensuring that telecom operators implement appropriate security controls to manage evolving digital risks. Telenor Pakistan’s continued performance under the assessment reflects its investment in cybersecurity practices, governance frameworks, and operational measures designed to strengthen protection for essential communication services. As telecommunications networks continue to support businesses, government services, financial transactions, and everyday digital activities, maintaining secure infrastructure has become increasingly important for ensuring service continuity and public trust.
Commenting on the achievement, Awais Vohra, Chief Technology Officer, PTML, said that cybersecurity plays a fundamental role in building trust within a highly connected society. He highlighted that securing the top position for the third consecutive year reflects the company’s commitment to maintaining strong security standards, meeting regulatory requirements, and protecting critical telecom data and infrastructure. He added that the company remains focused on contributing to a more secure and resilient digital environment in Pakistan through continued improvements in cybersecurity practices.
The recognition at Telecom Cyber Security Awards 2026 also highlights the broader importance of cybersecurity within Pakistan’s telecommunications sector. With digital connectivity becoming increasingly central to businesses, institutions, and individuals, telecom operators are required to strengthen their security frameworks to support safe and dependable services. Telenor Pakistan’s achievement demonstrates the role of regulatory compliance, effective cybersecurity controls, and industry collaboration in maintaining confidence in digital networks. The company’s continued recognition under PTA’s cybersecurity assessment reflects ongoing efforts to enhance infrastructure protection and support the development of a more secure digital ecosystem across the country.
