FIA Investigates Alleged Fake Pakistani Identity Documents Case In Peshawar

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has taken action against four Afghan nationals in Peshawar over allegations of obtaining Pakistani Computerised National Identity Cards (CNICs) and passports through fraudulent means. The FIA Anti Human Trafficking Circle (AHTC) Peshawar conducted a raid at a hostel in Shaheen Town following information received by the FIA Peshawar Zone. During the operation, officials identified four individuals who were allegedly involved in an attempt to secure Pakistani identity documents through unauthorized channels. The agency stated that the suspects were staying at Spin Ghar Hostel and were working with agents to obtain the documents.

The individuals identified by FIA officials were Siddiqullah, Rehmatullah, Abdullah, and Nasir, all of whom are Afghan citizens. According to the agency, the suspects were present at the hostel when the raid was carried out. During the operation, FIA officials recovered photocopies of Pakistani CNICs containing photographs. The recovered material is being reviewed as part of the ongoing investigation to determine the circumstances under which the documents were obtained and the involvement of any other individuals connected to the matter. The FIA stated that the suspects provided initial information during questioning and identified an agent named Talat, also known as Peer, as a person who allegedly assisted them in obtaining the documents.

Officials further stated that the individuals were unable to present valid Pakistani visas during the investigation process. The FIA is examining the available information, including the recovered documents and statements provided during initial questioning, to establish the details of the case. The agency has registered Case No. 208/2026 at its AHTC Peshawar office. The case includes charges under Sections 419, 420, 468, 471, and 109 of the Pakistan Penal Code, along with Section 14 of the Foreigners Act, 1946. These legal provisions relate to matters involving alleged identity document misuse, fraudulent activities, document-related offenses, and violations concerning foreign nationals.

The FIA continues to investigate cases involving the misuse of official documents and unauthorized acquisition of identity records as part of its efforts to address identity related violations. The use of fraudulent documents can create challenges for government systems and verification processes, making document security and accurate identification procedures an important area of focus for relevant authorities. In this case, further investigation will determine the complete circumstances surrounding the alleged acquisition of CNICs and passports, as well as whether additional individuals or networks were involved. Authorities have emphasized the importance of following legal procedures and maintaining the integrity of national identity systems while investigations into such matters continue.
