Mr. Haseeb Ahmed from National Cyber Security Academy (NCSA), Kharian Chapter, Air University, conducted a Cyber Security Awareness Seminar at Government High School, Pari Darweza, District Jhelum, on November 4, 2026. The seminar was organized to strengthen students’ understanding of digital safety and encourage responsible online behavior at a time when internet use continues to grow among young people. Through an interactive session, students were introduced to practical cyber security concepts designed to help them recognize common online risks and make informed decisions while using digital platforms for education, communication, and entertainment.
The seminar covered a wide range of topics related to cyber security and digital well being. Students learned about different forms of cyber threats, including online scams that can target individuals through deceptive messages, fake websites, and fraudulent online activities. The discussion also highlighted the importance of protecting personal information, maintaining strong passwords, safeguarding digital identities, and understanding how data privacy plays a key role in everyday internet use. Participants were encouraged to think critically before sharing personal details online and to verify information before responding to unfamiliar messages or requests. Practical guidance was shared on how simple cyber hygiene practices can reduce exposure to online risks and contribute to a safer digital experience.
Another important focus of the session was promoting responsible internet use among students. Mr. Haseeb Ahmed explained that cyber security is not limited to technical measures but also depends on individual awareness and informed decision making. Students were encouraged to use social media responsibly, respect the privacy of others, avoid engaging with suspicious online content, and report any unusual or potentially harmful digital activity to trusted adults or relevant authorities. The seminar also emphasized that building safe online habits at an early age can help students become more confident and responsible digital citizens as they continue their academic and personal development in an increasingly connected world.
The awareness seminar reflects National Cyber Security Academy’s continued efforts to promote cyber security education through community outreach and student engagement initiatives across Pakistan. By conducting awareness sessions in educational institutions, NCSA aims to equip young learners with the knowledge and practical skills needed to navigate the digital environment more safely. Events such as this provide students with a better understanding of current cyber challenges while encouraging a culture of digital responsibility, cyber hygiene, and informed internet use. The seminar at Government High School, Pari Darweza, served as another step toward empowering students with essential cyber security awareness and reinforcing the importance of staying vigilant in today’s digital landscape.
