The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has conducted a raid at a foreign operated call center located in Islamabad’s G-8 sector as part of its continued efforts to investigate alleged cybercrime activities and fraudulent networks. The operation was carried out following confidential information received by the agency regarding activities linked to the facility.
According to officials, the raid was conducted after obtaining approval from the competent authority and securing a search warrant. During the operation, NCCIA officials inspected the premises and collected digital devices along with other important material believed to be relevant to the ongoing investigation. The seized equipment has been transferred for forensic examination to identify any possible connections with cybercrime activities and fraudulent operations. Officials stated that foreign and Pakistani individuals allegedly associated with cybercrime activities were not present at the location at the time of the raid. The agency is continuing its investigation process to analyze the collected evidence and determine the nature of activities being carried out through the call center.
The NCCIA has been increasing its focus on organized cybercrime networks and illegal call center operations that allegedly use deceptive digital methods to target citizens. Authorities are examining different networks involved in suspected fraudulent schemes and are working to identify the individuals and systems connected with such activities. The forensic analysis of seized digital devices will play an important role in the investigation, as experts review available data and other technical evidence.
