National CERT Pakistan Launches CTF Square To Strengthen Cybersecurity Skills Development

Pakistan’s National Cyber Emergency Response Team (PKCERT), operating under the Government of Pakistan, has officially launched CTF Square, an indigenous Capture the Flag (CTF) platform developed to support cybersecurity training and skill development across the country. The initiative is aimed at creating a structured and practical learning environment where participants can strengthen their cybersecurity expertise through hands on challenges and real world exercises.

According to details shared by National CERT Pakistan, CTF Square has been introduced as a dedicated platform to help individuals build technical capabilities in cybersecurity through challenge based learning. The platform is designed to support students, professionals, and cybersecurity enthusiasts by offering opportunities to practice problem solving, improve technical knowledge, and gain experience in cybersecurity scenarios that reflect practical environments. Capture the Flag platforms are widely recognized in the cybersecurity field for helping participants sharpen their skills through simulated exercises, allowing them to explore concepts such as system security, digital investigations, vulnerability assessment, and secure problem solving in controlled settings.

National CERT Pakistan stated that the platform is intended to provide a structured and hands on environment where users can participate in cybersecurity challenges while continuously developing their abilities. Through CTF Square, participants will have access to learning opportunities that encourage skill enhancement and technical growth through practical engagement. The initiative also seeks to support a stronger cybersecurity ecosystem by encouraging individuals to gain experience through applied learning rather than relying solely on theoretical knowledge. By focusing on real world practice, the platform aims to help users improve their understanding of cybersecurity concepts and strengthen their readiness for emerging digital challenges.

The newly launched platform also encourages community participation by inviting users to explore challenges and contribute content while expanding cybersecurity knowledge through practical engagement. National CERT Pakistan highlighted that CTF Square is focused on helping participants learn, compete, and grow in a cybersecurity focused environment. The platform aligns with broader efforts to strengthen digital resilience and cybersecurity preparedness by creating opportunities for skill development among aspiring professionals and experienced practitioners alike. Interested individuals can access the platform through the official portal at ctf.pkcert.gov.pk to explore available challenges and training opportunities designed to improve cybersecurity competencies in Pakistan.
