ICyDD 2026 Brings Cybersecurity Experts Together For Research And Digital Defense Insights

Jinnah University for Women is set to host the 3rd International Conference on Cybersecurity and Digital Defense (ICyDD) 2026, bringing together cybersecurity professionals, researchers, academicians, and industry experts to discuss emerging technologies, security challenges, and advancements in digital defense. Organized by the Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering at Jinnah University for Women in collaboration with ICyDD, the conference will take place on October 30 to 31, 2026. Founded in 2024, ICyDD has established itself as a platform focused on sharing innovative research, exploring emerging cybersecurity trends, and connecting academic and industry communities.

Building on the success of previous editions, ICyDD 2026 will feature technical sessions, keynote lectures, panel discussions, workshops, and a cybersecurity hackathon designed to promote practical learning and collaboration. The conference will provide opportunities for participants to explore developments across multiple areas of cybersecurity, including electronic commerce security, mobile and wireless security, cloud security, information security, and next generation cybersecurity approaches for digital platforms. Industry professionals and researchers will participate in discussions focused on current security challenges, emerging solutions, and strategies to strengthen digital defense capabilities. A key focus of ICyDD 2026 will be the evolving cybersecurity landscape influenced by artificial intelligence, machine learning, deepfake technology, and quantum computing. Sessions on deepfake technology will address the growing risks associated with manipulated digital content, social engineering threats, detection techniques, and mitigation strategies. The conference will also explore security in the quantum age, including post quantum cryptography, side channel attacks, and approaches for preparing security systems for future computing environments. Other important discussion areas include AI driven threat detection and response, machine learning algorithms for anomaly detection, ethical considerations in AI based cybersecurity, zero day vulnerabilities, advanced persistent threats, and unified information and cloud security frameworks.

ICyDD 2026 will also host the Women Cyber Warrior Challenge hackathon, where participants will demonstrate their capabilities in vulnerability hunting, digital forensics, and network defense. The hackathon aims to encourage creativity, technical skill development, and collaboration among cybersecurity enthusiasts. Alongside this, the conference will include a hands on CTF training workshop where participants will learn to identify vulnerabilities, solve cybersecurity challenges, and navigate real world digital threats through practical exercises. International and national keynote speakers will deliver expert lectures, while a panel discussion featuring cybersecurity professionals will highlight industry challenges and innovative approaches in digital security. The conference has introduced participation opportunities for authors, attendees, faculty members, industry professionals, students, workshop participants, and hackathon participants. Separate registration categories are available for national and international participants, including dedicated options for JUW students and female participants. The registration structure includes different fee arrangements based on participant type, with special participation opportunities available for female participants through the Women Cyber Warrior Challenge. ICyDD 2026 has opened submissions for extended abstracts ranging from 600 to 800 words, excluding references. All submitted abstracts will undergo peer review based on scientific merit, originality, and practical application. Accepted conference proceedings will be published online with DOI numbers. The submission deadline is September 20, 2026, while acceptance notifications will be issued on October 5, 2026. Through this conference, Jinnah University for Women aims to strengthen cybersecurity research, encourage industry academia collaboration, and provide a platform for professionals and students to exchange knowledge on emerging digital security challenges.
