DG National CERT Attends AUREX AI And Digital Twin 2026 Symposium At Bahria University

Director General National CERT, Dr. Haider Abbas, TI, attended the “AUREX: AI & Digital Twin 2026” Symposium as Chief Guest at Bahria University in Islamabad, Pakistan. Organized by the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (BSEAS), the symposium brought together academia, industry leaders, policymakers, and emerging talent to discuss the growing role of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Twin technologies. The event served as a platform for participants to exchange ideas and deliberate on the practical applications, opportunities, and challenges associated with emerging digital technologies in an increasingly connected environment.

During his address at the symposium, Dr. Haider Abbas, TI, spoke about the changing cybersecurity landscape in a period marked by rapid digital transformation and technological advancement. He highlighted the increasing importance of cybersecurity considerations in the development and deployment of Artificial Intelligence driven systems and digital infrastructures. Stressing the need for secure by design principles, he underlined the importance of incorporating cybersecurity measures at the foundation level of digital technologies to strengthen resilience against emerging cyber threats.
