National Cyber Emergency Response Team (National CERT) of Pakistan, in collaboration with its technology partner YOTTABYTE, conducted an interactive training session on threat management and cybersecurity operations for participants of its Summer Internship Program 2026. The session was organized to provide young cybersecurity professionals with practical knowledge and industry insights while helping them understand real world security practices. The initiative reflects National CERT’s efforts to connect emerging talent with experienced industry professionals and strengthen cybersecurity skills among future practitioners.
The training session focused on “Threat Management & Cyber Security Operations” and was delivered by Abu Baker Gondal, Chief Technology Officer (CTO), YOTTABYTE. During the session, participants gained insights into modern approaches for understanding the evolving cyber threat landscape, identifying potential security risks and analyzing different types of cyber threats. The discussion also covered methods for assessing and monitoring risks, responding to security incidents and improving organizational cybersecurity practices. Through practical examples and industry based perspectives, interns were introduced to the operational processes followed by cybersecurity teams in professional environments.
The session provided participants with a deeper understanding of how security operations function within organizations and the importance of adopting a proactive approach toward cybersecurity. The training highlighted the significance of continuous monitoring, effective threat management strategies and timely response mechanisms in maintaining a strong security posture.
