A cybersecurity awareness training session was recently conducted for employees of Medics Laboratories, focusing on the importance of people and awareness in strengthening organizational cybersecurity. The session highlighted how employees can play an important role in protecting organizational systems and information, while emphasizing that cybersecurity is a shared responsibility rather than an area limited to IT teams.
The interactive training covered practical discussions and real world scenarios related to phishing, social engineering, password security, multi factor authentication, ransomware, data protection, safe use of technology and artificial intelligence, remote working and incident reporting. Employees were encouraged to understand common cybersecurity risks and consider how everyday decisions can affect organizational security. A key message throughout the session was that while technology can provide multiple layers of protection, informed and vigilant employees remain an important line of defense against cyber threats. The discussions and examples were designed to help participants recognize suspicious activities, follow safer technology practices and understand the importance of reporting potential security incidents.
The session also emphasized the need for organizations to continuously strengthen cybersecurity awareness as cyber threats evolve.
