NIC Karachi Launches Cyber Security Council Led By Syed Abdul Qadir To Strengthen Digital Resilience Ecosystem

NIC Karachi has announced the establishment of a Cyber Security Council aimed at strengthening digital resilience and safeguarding the broader technology ecosystem. The initiative is led by Syed Abdul Qadir, who holds credentials including PMP, CISA, and ISO LA, and brings together a structured network of cybersecurity professionals and experts. The council has been formed as part of an ongoing effort to build a collaborative environment focused on improving cybersecurity awareness, knowledge exchange, and ecosystem level security practices within Pakistan’s growing digital sector.

The Cyber Security Council includes a diverse group of experienced professionals from the cybersecurity and information security domain. Among the esteemed members are Kiran Jamil Khan, Laraib Aftab, Azhar Nawaz, Javed Yousuf Edhi, Salaina Haroon, Sehrish M., Subash Chandar, and Syed Faiq Hasan. Each member contributes domain expertise across different areas of cybersecurity, enabling the council to function as a collective platform for discussion, advisory input, and strategic alignment on security practices.
