𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗘𝗥𝗧 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗞𝗼𝗵𝘀𝗮𝗿 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗠𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗦𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗠𝗼𝗨 𝘁𝗼 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗖𝘆𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗜𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗮𝗸𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻

𝗠𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗲, 𝗣𝗮𝗸𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻 – In a significant move to enhance cybersecurity capabilities across Pakistan, the National Cyber Emergency Response Team (National CERT) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Kohsar University Murree KUM. The MoU was officially signed by Dr. Haider Abbas, TI, Director General of National CERT, and Prof. Dr. Syed Habib Bokhari, Vice Chancellor of Kohsar University, Murree, with faculty members and Deans from the university also present at the signing ceremony.

Through this partnership, both institutions aim to work together on various initiatives, including the development of specialized training programs, hands-on workshops, and research activities focused on cybersecurity challenges. The MoU also outlines joint efforts in cybersecurity services such as Incident Response, Vulnerability Assessment, and Policy Development, with a strong focus on creating solutions relevant to Pakistan’s cybersecurity needs.

In addition, this collaboration will provide opportunities for students at Kohsar University to engage in internships, industry-focused research, and job placements within the cybersecurity sector. The partnership also promotes knowledge sharing through seminars and workshops, aiming to equip future cybersecurity professionals with the skills needed to meet emerging cyber threats.

The MoU between National CERT and Kohsar University, Murree is a key step in addressing the growing need for skilled cybersecurity professionals in Pakistan and demonstrates a shared commitment to advancing the country’s cybersecurity landscape.
