YOTTABYTE And PKCERT Conduct Cybersecurity Session For Aspiring Cyber Professionals

YOTTABYTE, in collaboration with PKCERT Pakistan, recently conducted a cybersecurity session for interns aspiring to build careers in cybersecurity as part of the CyberSecure Pakistan initiative. Hosted at PKCERT in Islamabad, the session was designed to provide participants with practical exposure to the cybersecurity landscape while helping them better understand the challenges and opportunities within the profession. Rather than focusing solely on general cyber awareness, the program introduced attendees to key concepts related to cyber threats, threat management, cyber operations, and the day to day responsibilities of cybersecurity professionals working in the field. The initiative reflects the continued efforts of both organizations to strengthen cybersecurity knowledge and prepare the next generation of cyber professionals in Pakistan.

During the session, the YOTTABYTE team shared practical insights drawn from real world cybersecurity operations and experiences. Participants were introduced to the evolving threat landscape, common cybersecurity risks, and the methods organizations use to identify, manage, and respond to cyber incidents. The discussion also covered the importance of cyber operations in protecting digital infrastructure and maintaining secure online environments. By combining technical knowledge with practical examples from industry professionals, the session aimed to provide interns with a clearer understanding of cybersecurity beyond theoretical concepts. This approach allowed participants to gain exposure to the skills, responsibilities, and continuous learning required for careers in the cybersecurity sector.

The session forms part of the broader CyberSecure Pakistan initiative, which is being implemented by YOTTABYTE with the support of APNIC Foundation. Through this program, YOTTABYTE is conducting cybersecurity bootcamps, awareness sessions, and mini conferences across Pakistan to expand access to cybersecurity education and practical learning opportunities. The initiative seeks to engage a wide range of audiences, including students, young professionals, and communities that may have limited access to formal cybersecurity training. By delivering these activities in different parts of the country, the program aims to promote cyber awareness while encouraging individuals to build practical cybersecurity skills that can be applied in both professional and personal digital environments.

According to YOTTABYTE, CyberSecure Pakistan is focused on helping participants improve cyber hygiene and develop a stronger understanding of safe digital practices that are increasingly important in everyday life. Through collaborations with organizations such as PKCERT and the continued support of APNIC Foundation, the initiative is expanding its reach to equip more people with knowledge about cybersecurity, emerging threats, and responsible digital behavior. By providing practical training sessions and awareness programs for aspiring cyber professionals and the wider community, the initiative continues to contribute to the development of cybersecurity capabilities and digital awareness across Pakistan.
