U Microfinance Bank (U Bank) has achieved a significant milestone in its commitment to data security by obtaining the ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification from Risk Associates, a UKAS-accredited certification body.

The certification was awarded in a ceremony at U Bank’s headquarters, recognizing the bank’s adherence to international standards for Information Security Management Systems (ISMS). By implementing robust security measures, U Bank has demonstrated its ability to protect sensitive customer information, ensuring confidentiality, integrity, and availability.

Mr. Aziz A. Rahim, Chief Operating Officer of Risk Associates, presented the certificate to Mr. Muhammad Javed, Chief Compliance Officer & Acting Chief Risk Officer at U Bank.
