Telenor Microfinance Bank (TMB), the company behind Pakistan’s leading digital financial platform easypaisa, has been awarded the prestigious ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification. This recognition signifies a major milestone for TMB’s commitment to data security excellence.
The certification process was overseen by Risk Associates, a leading accredited body. During a ceremony at TMB’s Islamabad office, key representatives from both organizations were present, including Aziz A. Rahim, Chief Operating Officer of Risk Associates, and Muhammad Rizwan Ikram, Chief Risk Officer of TMB/easypaisa.
ISO/IEC 27001:2022 is the international standard for Information Security Management Systems (ISMS). It outlines best practices for identifying, assessing, and mitigating information security risks. By achieving this certification, TMB has demonstrated its ability to effectively manage these risks, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive customer data.
