NYLP PISA Partnership Expands Cybersecurity Awareness Across Pakistan

NYLP and Pakistan Information Security Association (PISA) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to strengthen cybersecurity awareness, online safety and digital literacy initiatives for young people and communities across Pakistan. The partnership brings together NYLP Chairman Khoja Sheraaz Ali and PISA President Ammar Jaffri with the shared objective of building greater awareness around responsible technology use and helping individuals understand the importance of staying secure in an increasingly digital environment.

The collaboration was announced in connection with October’s Cyber Security Awareness Month and will introduce free cybersecurity awareness initiatives aimed at educating communities about digital risks and safe online practices. Through these efforts, young people will gain practical knowledge about navigating digital platforms securely, protecting personal information, understanding cyber threats and maintaining digital privacy. The initiative focuses on improving awareness among users by encouraging responsible behavior and informed decision-making while using online services and technologies.

As part of the partnership, NYLP and PISA plan to organize hybrid cybersecurity awareness sessions across Pakistan to increase accessibility and participation. The organizations have set a target of reaching more than 10,000 young people and community members through these awareness activities. The hybrid format will allow participants from different regions to engage with cybersecurity education sessions, creating broader opportunities for learning and discussion around online safety challenges. The initiative also includes collaboration with multiple national organizations to expand outreach and encourage wider participation in digital literacy programs.

The partnership further highlights PISA’s participation in NYLP’s Global Digital Literacy & Leadership Summit 2026, where both organizations will continue efforts to promote secure and informed digital citizenship. Through this collaboration, NYLP and PISA aim to support communities in developing stronger cybersecurity awareness and improving their understanding of digital responsibilities. The initiative reflects the growing need for cybersecurity education as more individuals, businesses and institutions adopt digital technologies across Pakistan. By combining awareness programs, community engagement and national-level collaboration, NYLP and PISA intend to contribute towards a safer and more digitally literate Pakistan. The partnership emphasizes the importance of equipping young people and communities with the knowledge required to identify digital risks, protect their online presence and use technology in a secure and responsible manner.
