National CERT Launches Nationwide Cybersecurity Awareness Campaign for Children

The National Cyber Emergency Response Team (PK CERT) has unveiled a countrywide campaign to raise cybersecurity awareness among children, emphasizing the importance of online safety and best practices for digital security.

The initiative was formally launched by the Director General of PK CERT at the Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF) school in Islamabad. With the increasing integration of technology into children’s daily lives, the program aims to equip young minds with the knowledge and skills required to navigate the online world safely.

“We are committed to ensuring that our children are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to stay safe online,” said the Director General of National CERT. “This initiative is a crucial step toward creating a cyber-aware generation.”

The awareness campaign will be implemented in collaboration with schools and educational institutions across the country. It will cover critical topics, including online safety, privacy protection, and recognizing and reporting cyber threats.

PKCERT’s efforts reflect a proactive approach to fostering a culture of cybersecurity awareness in Pakistan, ensuring that children are prepared to address the growing challenges of the digital age. By focusing on the next generation, this initiative not only protects young internet users but also contributes to the broader goal of strengthening the country’s cybersecurity resilience.

The program is set to expand nationwide, demonstrating PKCERT’s dedication to building a secure digital future for Pakistan.
