ISACA Karachi And NIBAF Pakistan Sign MoU To Expand Cybersecurity And IT Governance Learning

ISACA Karachi has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with National Institute of Banking and Finance (NIBAF) Pakistan to strengthen professional education, capacity building and knowledge sharing in areas including cybersecurity, IT governance, information systems audit, risk management, privacy and digital trust. The collaboration brings together NIBAF Pakistan’s focus on developing professionals for the banking and financial sector with ISACA Karachi Chapter’s expertise in information systems and technology related disciplines. The partnership is expected to create additional learning and certification opportunities for professionals and students while supporting efforts to develop skills relevant to the evolving technology and financial services environment. The MoU reflects a shared commitment by both organizations to expand professional development initiatives and facilitate greater access to knowledge and internationally recognized certifications.

The agreement was signed by Ms. Lubna Malik, CEO of NIBAF Pakistan, and Mr. Kashif Alam Khan, President of ISACA Karachi. The signing ceremony was attended by members of ISACA Karachi’s Board, including Mr. Hussein Hassanali, Mr. Navaid Naqvi, CISA, CISM, CDPSE, ISMS Sr. LA and CISM Instructor, and Mr. M. Sharique Siddiqui. Representatives from NIBAF Pakistan also participated in the ceremony, including Mr. Salim Rahimtoola, Head of Learning Delivery, and Mr. Azim Zuberi, Training Manager. The participation of representatives from both organizations highlighted the collaborative nature of the agreement and its focus on strengthening professional learning opportunities across technology, cybersecurity and financial sector related areas. Through the MoU, ISACA Karachi and NIBAF Pakistan intend to combine their respective expertise to support professionals and students seeking to build knowledge and skills in information technology, information systems and cybersecurity.
