GISPP Academy has announced an upcoming webinar titled “When AI Starts Fighting Back: Agentic AI and the Future of Cybersecurity,” scheduled for Saturday, September 19, 2026. The online session will feature Dr. Zain Tariq, a researcher at Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU), who will discuss the growing role of Agentic AI in cybersecurity and its potential impact on the future of intelligent security systems. Dr. Zain Tariq brings extensive academic and industry experience to the session. He specializes in Agentic AI, knowledge verification, affective computing security, privacy and artificial intelligence ethics. He holds a PhD in Computer Science and Engineering from Hamad Bin Khalifa University, where his research focuses on AI assisted security and the optimization of 5G and 6G technologies. Dr. Tariq is also a Certified Ethical Hacker and previously served as Co Principal Investigator at Pakistan National Center for Cyber Security (NCCS). His professional background spans more than 15 years across cybersecurity, communications, satellite systems, software quality assurance and technology consulting. Through this webinar, attendees are expected to gain practical perspectives on how intelligent AI systems are evolving alongside modern cybersecurity strategies and how research continues to shape future security frameworks for digital ecosystems.
