His career later progressed at United Bank Limited (UBL), where he served as Manager Information Security and further expanded his expertise in information security management within Pakistan’s banking sector.

A significant chapter of his career was spent at Habib Bank AG Zurich, where he served for more than six years as Head Information Security Governance & Compliance. In that role, he worked extensively on information security governance, regulatory compliance, security controls, and risk management frameworks that support banking operations. Throughout his professional journey, Imtiaz has gained experience covering enterprise technology, infrastructure protection, governance processes, regulatory requirements, and information security controls. His responsibilities have consistently focused on helping organizations manage technology risks while supporting compliance with evolving security standards. In his new position at Faysal Bank, Imtiaz will lead the Information Security Governance & Compliance function, overseeing areas that include governance processes, security controls, compliance requirements, risk management, and the protection of the bank’s technology environment. Information security governance plays an important role in financial institutions by supporting security policies, access management, regulatory compliance, technology risk assessment, and continuous monitoring of enterprise systems. As Faysal Bank continues to enhance its digital banking capabilities across retail, corporate, investment, and other banking services, maintaining effective governance and security frameworks remains an essential component of its technology strategy.
