As part of the 5th Digital Pakistan Cybersecurity Hackathon, a cybersecurity workshop was successfully conducted at Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering and Management Sciences (BUITEMS), Quetta, Balochistan. The workshop was organized by Ignite National Technology Fund and conducted by Trillium Information Security Systems, continuing the initiative’s focus on strengthening practical cybersecurity learning and developing technical skills among participants. The session brought hands on cybersecurity training to Quetta as part of a nationwide workshop series being conducted across 16 cities in Pakistan.
The workshop aimed to provide participants with practical exposure to cybersecurity concepts and enhance their understanding of the skills required in the evolving digital security landscape. Through interactive learning sessions, attendees gained insights into important areas of cybersecurity and explored practical approaches related to identifying challenges, understanding security practices, and improving their technical capabilities. The initiative reflects ongoing efforts to encourage cybersecurity education and support the development of skilled professionals who can contribute to Pakistan’s growing digital ecosystem.
Trillium Information Security Systems conducted the session as part of its role in supporting the Digital Pakistan Cybersecurity Hackathon initiative, which focuses on promoting cybersecurity awareness, talent development, and practical learning opportunities. By bringing these workshops to universities and technology communities across different regions, the program aims to provide students and aspiring cybersecurity professionals with opportunities to improve their knowledge and engage with industry experts. The nationwide workshop series, covering 16 cities, highlights the importance of expanding cybersecurity education beyond major technology centers and creating opportunities for students across Pakistan. Through collaboration between Ignite National Technology Fund, Trillium Information Security Systems, and academic institutions such as BUITEMS, the initiative continues to support cybersecurity skill development, encourage innovation, and promote greater awareness of digital security practices. Such industry academic engagements play an important role in preparing future professionals with the knowledge and capabilities needed to participate in Pakistan’s expanding cybersecurity landscape.
