Pakistan’s National Computer Emergency Response Team (PKCERT) has recently participated in a comprehensive training program conducted by the Asia Pacific Network Information Centre (APNIC) in collaboration with Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA).
The training sessions, held in Lahore and Islamabad, focused on equipping cybersecurity professionals with advanced skills in incident response and CERT operations. Participants, including representatives from telecom operators and internet service providers, gained in-depth knowledge of forensic analysis techniques and incident management strategies.
Led by APNIC’s Senior Internet Security Specialist, Mr. Adil Wahid, the workshop provided a mix of theoretical and practical sessions, enabling participants to apply their learning to real-world scenarios.
The successful completion of the training was marked by a certificate distribution ceremony, recognizing the participants’ achievements in enhancing Pakistan’s cybersecurity preparedness.
By investing in the development of its cybersecurity workforce, Pakistan is taking proactive steps to safeguard its digital infrastructure and protect against emerging cyber threats.
