CyberWalk Pakistan carried out a month-long cybersecurity awareness campaign throughout October 2026, bringing together cybersecurity professionals, legal experts, educators, volunteers and digital users through a series of online discussions and educational activities. The initiative was organized as part of Cybersecurity Awareness Month 2026 and focused on helping people understand digital safety practices, cyber risks, reporting mechanisms and online rights. The organization conducted four webinars during October, covering topics including password protection, multi-factor authentication, cyber scams, cybercrime reporting, and digital rights.
The campaign began with a webinar focused on passwords, MFA and passkeys for Pakistani families, featuring cybersecurity professionals including Rizwan Ghafoor, Ali Tanveer and Zohaib Tahir. The session aimed to provide practical guidance on strengthening online security habits among everyday users. CyberWalk Pakistan later hosted discussions on current cyber scams in Pakistan, where experts from information security, banking and internet governance backgrounds shared insights on identifying online risks and improving awareness. Speakers included Sanan Abdul Hameed, Malik Hamza Murtaza and Abdullah Qamar, who discussed cybersecurity challenges affecting individuals and organizations. The third webinar focused on cybercrime reporting procedures and PECA, helping participants understand legal awareness and available reporting channels. Advocate Nadeem Asghar Mirza and Dr. Muhammad Ahmad Kahloon discussed PECA related topics and explained how individuals can approach cybercrime reporting processes through NCCIA. The session highlighted the importance of understanding digital rights and knowing available support mechanisms when users encounter online issues. The final webinar focused on digital rights and governance in Pakistan, featuring Saifullah Khan, Managing Partner at S.U.Khan Associates Corporate & Legal Consultants, who shared perspectives on privacy, data protection law and internet governance. NCCIA representatives and members of the Internet Society Pakistan Islamabad Chapter also participated in the discussion.
Alongside the webinar series, CyberWalk Pakistan highlighted the contribution of its Pakistan Cyber Warriors volunteer team, which supported event coordination, participant records, moderation and community engagement activities. The campaign involved volunteers from across Pakistan who assisted with webinars, quizzes, social media outreach and awareness efforts during October. The organization credited its volunteers and guest speakers for supporting the initiative, while reporting participation from students, professionals and digital users interested in improving cybersecurity knowledge. Beyond the webinar series, CyberWalk Pakistan also shared educational content related to emerging cybersecurity topics, including discussions around data governance, digital rights and cybersecurity frameworks. The organization highlighted Pakistan’s Data Governance Policy Draft 2026, explaining concepts related to data storage, citizen rights and government data management practices. It also shared information about PKCERT’s Governance Controls for PISF 2026, focusing on cybersecurity governance requirements for public sector organizations.
Through its October activities, CyberWalk Pakistan continued its focus on improving cybersecurity awareness and encouraging safer digital practices among communities. The campaign combined expert-led discussions, legal awareness sessions, technical guidance and volunteer participation to create broader conversations around cybersecurity, privacy and responsible digital usage in Pakistan.
