COMMTEL has conducted a Cyber Security Tabletop Exercise (TTX) at Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), giving participants a practical opportunity to evaluate incident response capabilities, improve decision making, and strengthen coordination during simulated cyber incidents. The exercise was designed to replicate real world cybersecurity scenarios, allowing participants to test organizational readiness and response procedures in a controlled environment. Through the simulation, attendees were able to examine how different teams collaborate during cyber incidents while identifying areas where communication, planning, and operational processes can be further strengthened. The Cyber Security Tabletop Exercise was successfully planned and executed by COMMTEL’s Security Operations Center (SOC) and Offensive Security teams. By combining the expertise of both teams, the exercise provided participants with realistic scenarios that required timely analysis, coordinated action, and informed decision making. Tabletop exercises play an important role in helping organizations validate existing cybersecurity procedures without disrupting day to day business operations. They also allow leadership teams, technical personnel, and operational staff to understand their individual responsibilities during a cyber incident while improving coordination across different departments. The simulation at Pakistan Stock Exchange enabled participants to review incident response workflows, evaluate communication channels, and assess the effectiveness of their existing security practices in handling potential cyber threats.
