Wazuguardix has announced the launch of its exclusive Hands on Cybersecurity Summer Training Program aimed at providing participants with practical experience in cybersecurity and Wazuh through real world learning environments. Designed for students, fresh graduates, IT enthusiasts, beginners, and individuals interested in cybersecurity, the six week training initiative seeks to bridge the gap between theoretical learning and operational security practices by offering practical exposure to Security Operations Center environments and defensive cybersecurity techniques.
The training program will be conducted under the mentorship of Wazuh Ambassadors Syed Jawad, Saif Ullah, and Maryam Liaqat, providing participants an opportunity to learn directly from professionals experienced in Wazuh based security operations and cybersecurity monitoring. According to the program details, the initiative is structured to equip learners with practical knowledge of core cybersecurity disciplines that are increasingly relevant for organizations strengthening their cyber defenses. Participants are expected to gain hands on experience in areas such as SOC fundamentals, SIEM implementation using Wazuh, log analysis, threat detection, incident response, security automation, vulnerability assessment, and cloud security basics. The curriculum also includes practical Security Operations Center projects designed to expose participants to real world cybersecurity scenarios and operational workflows.
The program highlights a strong emphasis on applied learning through interactive labs and simulated security incidents aimed at improving technical understanding and analytical capabilities. Wazuguardix stated that participants will engage in hands on labs and practical exercises to better understand cybersecurity operations in environments aligned with current industry practices. Real world security scenarios form a key component of the training, enabling participants to explore how monitoring systems, detection mechanisms, and incident handling processes function within professional cybersecurity settings. The initiative also reflects a growing focus on practical cybersecurity education in Pakistan, where increased awareness around digital threats and enterprise security has contributed to demand for skills related to SOC operations, threat monitoring, and defensive technologies.
In addition to technical learning, the training program includes several professional development opportunities intended to support participants pursuing cybersecurity careers. Wazuguardix noted that brilliant students may be considered for internship opportunities based on performance during the program, while all successful participants will receive certificates of completion and career support guidance. The six week program is being offered at a limited time training fee of PKR 5000, making it accessible to a broader audience interested in cybersecurity learning and technical development. Registrations are currently open through the official registration link, allowing aspiring cybersecurity professionals to enroll in a training initiative focused on practical learning, Wazuh implementation, and hands on SOC experience.
