Common Criteria Pakistan Lab has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Cyber Emergency Response Team of Pakistan (PKCERT), in a strategic step toward strengthening the country’s cybersecurity landscape. The agreement was formalized by Dr Haider Abbas, TI, Director General of PKCERT, and Dr Kashif Rahim, Project Director of Common Criteria Pakistan Lab, in the presence of representatives from both sides. This collaboration aims to enhance digital resilience by promoting awareness, building capacity, and developing advanced security practices for Pakistan’s growing digital ecosystem.
As part of the partnership, both organizations have committed to sharing technology and expertise to introduce more effective cybersecurity solutions across national infrastructure. The MoU also emphasizes the importance of conducting security assessments and compliance evaluations, ensuring that critical systems are aligned with best practices in cyber defense. With the rapid rise in cyber threats, this joint approach provides an opportunity to create frameworks that safeguard digital assets while building trust among users, businesses, and government institutions.
