Yottabyte has announced the launch of one of Pakistan’s largest coordinated cybersecurity capacity building programs, developed with the support of its Patron PKCERT Pakistan. The initiative has been introduced as a nationwide effort to expand both awareness and technical competence in cybersecurity, focusing on professionals, students and individuals across major cities. Yottabyte has stated that the program will be offered entirely free of cost and is designed to provide a structured pathway for thousands of participants to improve their knowledge and readiness in a rapidly evolving digital environment.
According to the announcement, the program will engage more than three thousand individuals through structured awareness sessions that will help participants understand fundamental cybersecurity practices, safe digital habits and the overall threat landscape. In addition to these sessions, over one thousand professionals will receive hands on training that covers practical skills required in modern cybersecurity roles. The training will be delivered in multiple phases across Karachi, Hyderabad, Lahore, Multan, Islamabad and Peshawar, ensuring that participation is accessible to talent from diverse regions. Yottabyte has described this approach as a deliberate move to make advanced cybersecurity learning available beyond traditional major hubs, creating wider national inclusion.
The program aims to build long term capability by offering a consistent and well organized learning experience instead of short term workshops. Participants will have the opportunity to work with industry practitioners who will provide guidance on current tools, real world scenarios and best practices used in professional cybersecurity environments. This structure is expected to support the broader goal of uplifting talent from educational institutions, private sector organizations and independent learners, enabling them to play more effective roles in strengthening the country’s cyber readiness. The focus on practical training is also intended to reduce the existing skill gap in areas such as incident response, network security, digital forensics and secure system management.
Yottabyte has expressed appreciation to PKCERT Pakistan along with Dr Haider Abbas and his team for their support in enabling the initiative. The organization emphasised that national cooperation is essential for developing technical depth in cybersecurity and that coordinated programs can support the creation of a more resilient digital ecosystem. By opening participation without cost barriers and by operating across several cities, the initiative seeks to build a broader base of skilled individuals who can contribute to improved security practices within public and private sector institutions. Yottabyte added that such initiatives represent an important contribution to national capability and that expanding access to quality cybersecurity education can help strengthen the overall resilience of Pakistan’s digital infrastructure.
