Tech20Four Partners with National CERT for Cyber Innovation Ecosystem Development

Islamabad-based Tech20Four (Pvt) Ltd has formally entered into a strategic collaboration with National Cyber Emergency Response Team (National CERT) by signing a Memorandum of Understanding to serve as the Technology Innovation Partner under the Cyber Innovation Ecosystem (CIE) initiative. The MoU was signed at a ceremony held at the National CERT headquarters, attended by senior leadership from both organizations and representatives from Cywift.

The event marked a key moment in national efforts to strengthen cybersecurity through public-private collaboration. Representing National CERT were Dr. Mehreen Afzal, Director Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC), Mr. Khurram Javed, Director Capacity Building, and Mr. Sadiq Khan, Deputy Director Labs, along with several other officials. Tech20Four was represented by its Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Aamir Nawaz Tanoli, while Cywift also participated as a stakeholder in the cyber innovation ecosystem.

This partnership is part of a broader initiative to create a resilient cybersecurity infrastructure by fostering technological innovation, enhancing knowledge sharing, and building skilled human resources. Under this collaboration, Tech20Four will work with National CERT to develop advanced cyber solutions tailored to Pakistan’s digital landscape. These efforts include research and development, localized tool creation, and capacity-building programs that will contribute to long-term cyber resilience.

Dr. Mehreen Afzal highlighted the strategic value of this collaboration, noting that partnerships with SECP-registered private technology companies are critical to building a secure and self-reliant digital environment. She added that such initiatives are central to ensuring Pakistan is equipped to manage emerging cyber risks and to developing indigenous cybersecurity capabilities.

The Cyber Innovation Ecosystem initiative brings together stakeholders from government agencies, private sector companies, academic institutions, and cybersecurity practitioners to collectively address national digital threats. It is structured to encourage active cooperation among all participants for the development of tools, platforms, and training systems that can be scaled to meet evolving challenges in the cybersecurity domain.

As a participating partner, Tech20Four brings its experience in digital innovation to support National CERT’s operational objectives. The company will also contribute to research collaboration, conduct pilot projects, and assist in the design of frameworks that enhance detection, response, and prevention of cyber incidents.

The presence of Cywift at the MoU signing reflects the multi-stakeholder nature of the ecosystem and the need for collaborative alliances in the national cybersecurity strategy. Through this engagement, National CERT aims to build a sustainable model where knowledge, infrastructure, and innovation are shared to elevate Pakistan’s cyber defense capabilities.

This MoU stands as an important move in uniting the efforts of both public and private players under a shared vision of cyber readiness, technological independence, and innovation-driven security outcomes across Pakistan’s digital sectors.
