SOCByte Raises 1.5 Crore Angel Funding to Scale AI SOC Analyst Dexter

SOCByte has announced that it has secured 1.5 crore in angel investment to accelerate the development and expansion of Dexter, an AI SOC (Security Operations Center) analyst. The funding comes as a strong endorsement of Dexter’s capability to transform modern security operations with AI-native automation and addresses the pressing demand for smarter, faster, and autonomous defense against cyber threats. Dexter, the flagship product of SOCByte, is designed to simulate the expertise of a seasoned analyst while operating at machine speed and scale, empowering enterprises and managed security service providers to respond to evolving cyber challenges more effectively.

Speaking to CSO Pakistan, Sulaiman Asif said, “This investment is a validation of Pakistan’s potential to build world-class cybersecurity products. Every cyberattack puts real people and businesses at risk. With Dexter, we’re empowering teams to detect and respond faster than ever before. And this investment gives us the fuel to take that mission further.” With this investment, SOCByte plans to expand its engineering team, strengthen its cloud-native SOC platform, and enhance Dexter’s ability to perform real-time threat analysis and autonomous response.

The need for indigenous cybersecurity solutions is being felt more than ever. Pakistan witnessed 34 million cyberattacks in 2023 and 2024 alone, while the global cybersecurity industry has grown into a market valued between $245 to $272 billion in 2024 and is projected to reach $500 billion by 2030. Within this broader ecosystem, the agentic AI market stood at $4.26 billion in 2024, with the United States accounting for $1.58 billion. In such a rapidly expanding market, relying solely on foreign security solutions carries strategic risks, particularly in times of geopolitical and cyber warfare. SOCByte positions itself as a critical homegrown alternative, contributing not only to digital sovereignty but also to community building, local threat intelligence, and the creation of high-value jobs in Pakistan’s growing tech sector.

Developed entirely in Pakistan, SOCByte reflects the innovation emerging from the country’s technology ecosystem and showcases the capabilities of its young talent. Dexter is built to continuously learn, adapting to new threats and evolving alongside the cybersecurity landscape, ensuring businesses remain protected against both present and future risks. The company’s vision extends beyond local markets, with its platform already serving customers in Pakistan, the United States, and Nigeria. With this fresh infusion of capital, SOCByte aims to further strengthen its footprint in global cybersecurity, ensuring that a solution built in Pakistan contributes to securing enterprises worldwide.
