Islamabad, Pakistan – National Cyber Emergency Response Team (National CERT) has successfully conducted a specialized cybersecurity training session titled “Securing Digital Frontlines for Resilient Operations” for officials of the Ministry of Human Rights (MoHR) at its headquarters in Islamabad. The session was led by Khurram Javed, Director Capacity Building at National CERT, and aligned with the organization’s training guidelines. It was specifically tailored to address the distinct needs of management, operations and end-user personnel, equipping them with the knowledge and practical tools needed to enhance their organization’s cybersecurity posture.
The training combined core security principles with real-world case studies and scenario-based discussions to help participants understand and manage modern cyber risks more effectively. This approach offered valuable insights into protecting digital infrastructure, addressing operational vulnerabilities and fostering a culture of cyber awareness across all levels of the Ministry. Participants were exposed to the fundamentals of securing daily operations while also learning how to prepare for and respond to emerging cyber threats. Special focus was given to ensuring that senior management and technical teams alike are capable of identifying risks and implementing preventive measures to safeguard critical information.
National CERT designed this session as part of its broader Cybersecurity Capacity Building Program, which aims to raise awareness and improve readiness across government institutions in Pakistan. By offering training that reflects the realities faced by public sector organizations, National CERT continues to support ministries and agencies in adopting best practices, reinforcing digital defenses and safeguarding sensitive national data in an increasingly interconnected environment. This ongoing initiative is also intended to strengthen inter-agency collaboration and align public sector cybersecurity strategies with international standards and frameworks.
Through its consistent efforts, National CERT reaffirms its mission of equipping government bodies with the skills, resources and technical knowledge required to navigate Pakistan’s evolving cyber landscape. Officials participating in the training emphasized the importance of continuous learning and interdepartmental coordination to ensure that policies and practices remain current and effective. This session marks another step in National CERT’s commitment to build resilient digital capabilities across the public sector and to enable organizations to better protect their systems, networks and data against potential cyber risks.
