The National Computer Emergency Response Team (nCERT) has successfully concluded a five-day intensive training program on Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) ISO-27001 Lead Auditor. The training, held from July 6th to July 10th, 2024, is a pivotal component of nCERT’s ongoing efforts to bolster Pakistan’s cybersecurity landscape.
The training equipped participants with the technical expertise and practical skills necessary to conduct thorough evaluations and audits of information security management systems in alignment with international ISO standards. Key personnel from nCERT, along with representatives from crucial government departments and organizations including NTISB, Ministry of IT and Telecom, Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, NECOP, DCS, Intelligence Bureau, and Ignite, participated in the program.
By imparting advanced auditing capabilities and a deep understanding of ISO-27001 standards, the training empowers these professionals to significantly enhance information security practices within their respective organizations. nCERT will leverage this skilled workforce to conduct rigorous audits, evaluations, and assessments, thereby strengthening the overall governance, risk management, and compliance framework across Pakistan.
