Learning Resource Centre is set to host a specialized hands-on workshop on “Red vs Blue Team – Cyber Warfare Simulation (Attack & Defense)” in Karachi, designed to provide cybersecurity professionals with practical experience in real-world cyber attack and defense strategies. Scheduled for April 22, 2026, at Mövenpick Hotel, the program aims to immerse participants in realistic cyber operations through instructor-led simulations that mirror modern threats faced by enterprises globally. By combining theoretical concepts with practical exercises, the workshop targets professionals seeking to strengthen their understanding of offensive and defensive cybersecurity practices, while gaining experience in managing the complete attack-defense lifecycle.
The workshop will cover strategic insights into Red Team and Blue Team operations, helping participants understand attacker behavior and the methods defenders use to detect, respond to, and mitigate threats. Through the use of a cyber range simulation, participants will experience scenarios where Red Team operators demonstrate advanced attack techniques and Blue Team members actively defend, monitor, and neutralize threats using contemporary cybersecurity tools and methodologies. The training aligns with widely recognized frameworks such as MITRE ATTACK, providing participants with the skills to identify vulnerabilities, assess risks, and implement mitigation strategies in complex network environments.
Trainers for the session include Raheel Iqbal, Director Professional Services at Risk Associates for EMEA and Asia, Rehan Ali, Manager Offensive Security, and Muhammad Azhar Khan, Manager SOC. These industry experts bring extensive experience in threat detection, penetration testing, and incident response, offering participants guidance on practical techniques as well as strategic approaches to cyber defense. The workshop is targeted at cybersecurity defenders, SOC analysts, security monitoring teams, Blue Team members, penetration testers, Red Team operators, ethical hackers, vulnerability assessment professionals, cloud and infrastructure engineers, and risk and IT audit specialists. Participants will gain insights into both offensive and defensive operations, enabling a comprehensive understanding of modern cybersecurity threats and response techniques.
Learning Resource Centre emphasizes the importance of hands-on exposure in cybersecurity training, noting that theoretical knowledge alone is insufficient for managing sophisticated cyber threats. Participants are encouraged to register for the workshop through provided contact details, with organizers highlighting opportunities for interactive learning, real-time threat simulations, and peer collaboration. This initiative reflects an ongoing effort to build a stronger cybersecurity ecosystem in Pakistan, equipping professionals with the tools and experience required to defend critical infrastructure, enterprise networks, and digital assets against evolving cyber risks. By combining practical exercises with strategic instruction, the workshop aims to enhance the skills and readiness of participants across offensive and defensive cybersecurity disciplines.
