Kaspersky Hosts AI-Driven Cybersecurity Roundtable At GITEX Global 2025

Kaspersky hosted an exclusive cybersecurity roundtable during GITEX Global 2025 in Dubai, focusing on the theme “AI-Driven Cybersecurity Threats and Fraud: Challenges, Best Practices, and Policy Perspectives.” The event brought together high-level representatives from governments, regulatory authorities, and the private sector across the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia to explore the evolving cybersecurity challenges posed by artificial intelligence. The session was inaugurated by Eugene Kaspersky, CEO of Kaspersky, who emphasized the growing role of AI technologies in both enabling and combating cyber threats in an increasingly interconnected digital world.

The roundtable provided a forum for in-depth discussion on the implications of AI in cybersecurity, where participants addressed how emerging technologies are reshaping threat landscapes and creating new vulnerabilities that require collective policy and regulatory attention. Officials from key organizations including the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) of the UAE, National CERT – Pakistan, Oman Data Park, National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (NTRA) of Egypt, and the General Authority for Statistics were among those present. Their participation reflected a shared regional commitment to strengthening cyber resilience through collaboration and knowledge exchange.

Speakers such as Toufic Derbass, Yuliya Shlychkova, Dina Matar, Abdullah AlEssa, Ali Barakat, Essam Abou El Seoud, and Sergey Lozhkin contributed insights into how AI-powered fraud detection systems, predictive analytics, and real-time threat monitoring can improve security across both public and private sectors. The discussion also touched on the importance of data sovereignty, regulatory frameworks, and ethical AI implementation to ensure transparency and accountability in cybersecurity practices.

The event highlighted the importance of fostering strong partnerships between international cybersecurity companies and regional authorities, particularly in the context of evolving AI-driven risks. With the participation of National CERT – Pakistan, the discussion reinforced the need for countries like Pakistan to integrate advanced threat intelligence tools, develop adaptive security strategies, and promote public awareness initiatives. Kaspersky’s roundtable served as a platform for identifying areas of mutual cooperation, encouraging dialogue between technology providers, regulators, and enterprises to strengthen the digital security ecosystem across the region.

By gathering experts and regulators under one platform, Kaspersky demonstrated its ongoing commitment to building secure digital environments through dialogue and innovation. The event underscored the urgency of aligning policies, fostering research, and creating a sustainable roadmap for AI-enabled cybersecurity solutions that can respond effectively to the fast-changing digital threat landscape.
