Jaffer Business Systems (JBS) has signed a memorandum of understanding with Nazeer Hussain University (NHU) to introduce a Faculty Enabling Program that will focus on training educators in Microsoft AI and cybersecurity certification. The initiative is designed to build the capacity of teaching staff in Karachi’s universities, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and certifications needed to train future generations of students in critical digital fields. Supported by the Ministry of Education, this collaboration aims to enhance the role of faculty members as enablers of digital transformation in academia.
Under the agreement, 100 faculty members from different universities in Karachi will undergo specialized training and receive certification in Microsoft AI and cybersecurity. The program is structured to create a multiplier effect, with each trained educator expected to transfer their newly acquired skills and knowledge to hundreds of students over time. This approach is intended to strengthen Pakistan’s digital workforce pipeline by ensuring that students are not only exposed to emerging technologies in theory but are also guided by certified professionals who can mentor them in applying these skills in practical settings.
Executives at JBS have emphasized that true digital transformation cannot be achieved without empowering educators first. By focusing on teachers, the initiative seeks to ensure that knowledge-sharing continues in a sustainable manner and that skills relevant to AI and cybersecurity are embedded into mainstream education. With industries across the globe rapidly integrating AI-driven systems and stronger cybersecurity protocols, Pakistan’s education sector is under increasing pressure to align its training with international standards. This program represents a step toward bridging that gap, giving local universities the tools to prepare students for careers in an increasingly digital global economy.
Nazeer Hussain University has welcomed the collaboration, noting that it aligns with the institution’s vision of preparing graduates who are both technically proficient and adaptable to future challenges. By engaging with JBS, the university is creating opportunities for faculty development that will directly benefit students in disciplines ranging from computer science to engineering and business. For the Ministry of Education, the initiative also complements ongoing efforts to modernize the curriculum and integrate technology-driven subjects across Pakistan’s higher education landscape.
The partnership reflects a growing recognition in Pakistan that building a future-ready workforce requires investment in faculty development as much as in student learning. As AI and cybersecurity continue to emerge as priority areas for both national security and economic growth, initiatives such as this one are seen as essential in equipping the country’s educators to guide the next generation with confidence and responsibility. By enabling faculty with globally recognized certifications, JBS and NHU are laying the groundwork for a stronger academic and professional ecosystem in Pakistan’s digital future.
