Infrastructure Security Workshop to Focus on Network and Data Center Protection in Karachi

An intensive infrastructure security training workshop is scheduled to take place on June 26, 2025, at Movenpick Hotel, Karachi, offering an in-depth understanding of network security, threat landscapes, and segmentation strategies. Supported by PASHA as the official outreach partner, the workshop is designed for professionals working in or aspiring to specialize in security operations centers and infrastructure protection roles.

The full-day training program, titled “Protecting IT Infrastructure for Organizations,” is organized by Learning Resource Centre and aims to enhance the technical and strategic capabilities of participants in safeguarding digital and physical infrastructure assets. It provides attendees with practical insights into network, server, and data center security, with a strong focus on risk identification, threat mitigation, and incident response.

The workshop will be led by cybersecurity expert Fahad Ahmad Khan, who serves as a senior consultant and advisor at Trend Micro. He brings extensive experience in designing and implementing secure enterprise systems across various threat environments. As the key speaker, FahaMuhammad Munaf Majeed—CEO of Server4Sale and Chair of PASHA’s Cyber Security Committee—will share his perspectives on securing IT infrastructure in line with current global and local cyber threat trends.

The training is intended to equip participants with practical knowledge in key areas such as securing hardware, cloud services, software environments, and industrial control systems. Attendees will also receive guidance on managing vulnerabilities, maintaining compliance, and building robust defense layers within their organizational infrastructure. By incorporating real-world case studies and simulation-based scenarios, the program offers a balanced combination of theory and hands-on application.

The workshop particularly targets professionals such as SOC analysts, cybersecurity engineers, IT auditors, red team operators, application security specialists, and senior IT personnel tasked with protecting organizational assets. It aims to foster strategic thinking while reinforcing technical execution across various roles in information security. Participants will explore the mechanics of layered defense, incident containment, and forensic response, helping organizations better prepare for emerging risks.

With Pakistan’s digital infrastructure evolving rapidly, events like this play a critical role in capacity building across public and private sector IT teams. The workshop reflects the growing awareness among stakeholders of the need to invest in resilient infrastructure strategies to keep pace with evolving cyber threats.

A special discount of 15% is being offered to PASHA members attending the session. The Learning Resource Centre has provided multiple contact options and email support for registrations and queries regarding the event.
