IGNITE, the National Technology Fund and National Cyber Emergency Response Team of Pakistan (PKCERT) announced a significant collaboration with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This partnership marks a major step forward in strengthening the country’s cybersecurity posture.
The MoU, signed by Mr. Adeel Aijaz Shaikh, CEO of Ignite, and Dr. Haider Abbas, Director General of PKCERT, focuses on three key areas:
Developing a Skilled Cybersecurity Workforce: The initiative aims to nurture a robust pool of cybersecurity professionals in Pakistan through targeted training and capacity building programs.
Encouraging Indigenous Solutions: The MoU fosters innovation by promoting the development and adoption of homegrown cybersecurity solutions, fostering greater self-reliance in the critical field.
National and International Cybersecurity Awareness: Joint activities will be undertaken to raise awareness and educate the public, government agencies, and private sector entities on cybersecurity best practices. This collaborative effort aims to promote a culture of cyber resilience across Pakistan, both nationally and internationally.
