AshreiTech, Di8it Labs, and Truefense jointly hosted the Collaborative Cyber Innovation Summit 2025 at National Aerospace Science and Technology Park (NASTP) in Karachi, bringing together senior technology and cybersecurity leaders to share insights and discuss practical challenges surrounding digital security in today’s evolving threat environment. The event was attended by CIOs, CTOs, CISOs, IT heads, and sectoral experts from a wide range of industries, all with a shared interest in strengthening cybersecurity posture within their organizations and across the broader ecosystem.
The summit opened with a keynote by Mr. Zeeshan R. Khattak, Commissioner at Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), who presented the Tech Governance Roadmap 2025–2030. His address highlighted regulatory priorities focused on cybersecurity, digital infrastructure, and data protection, signaling SECP’s direction on technology governance over the next five years. The roadmap drew attention from attendees as it mapped out a future of tighter compliance frameworks, increased oversight on digital security practices, and deeper collaboration between regulators and private sector stakeholders.
Following the keynote, the summit transitioned to a high-level panel discussion titled “Identity First, Everything Else Second: Rethinking Cybersecurity Architecture,” moderated by Mr. Shah Abdullah Raza, Founder and CEO of F&H Tech Solutions. The panel featured Mr. Kh. Tanveer Saleem, CIO at United Energy Pakistan; Mr. Ahmed Ali, CISO at Central Depository Company of Pakistan Limited; and Dr. Muhammad Asad Arfeen, Associate Professor at NED University and Lab Director at National Centre for Cyber Security Sindh. Each panelist shared perspectives on identity-centric security models, improved access control protocols, and the integration of response mechanisms that prioritize user identity as a core defense layer.
Throughout the sessions, the emphasis remained on operational experience, collaboration, and regulatory alignment. Speakers noted that with cyber threats becoming more complex, organizational strategies must also become more agile and intelligence-led. Participants discussed how cybersecurity can no longer be confined to IT departments alone; rather, it must become a shared responsibility across leadership, operations, and governance units.
Representatives from AshreiTech emphasized that siloed approaches to cybersecurity are ineffective in today’s environment and that collective industry action is required. Reinforcing this, Mr. Abbas Rajani, CEO of Di8it Labs, closed the summit by highlighting the importance of building collaborative resilience. He stated, “You can’t outsource risk — but you can partner for strength,” pointing to the need for joint strategies, security partnerships, and coordinated responses across sectors.
The Collaborative Cyber Innovation Summit 2025 served as a platform for meaningful conversations and industry alignment on the evolving cybersecurity landscape, encouraging organizations to act not just as isolated entities but as contributors to a larger, interdependent security framework. Hosted at AshreiTech on the 2nd floor of NASTP Karachi, the event ran from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM and marked a notable effort toward building dialogue, readiness, and resilience in Pakistan’s cybersecurity ecosystem.
