Aga Khan University (AKU) has once again demonstrated its dedication to information security and privacy by successfully completing the First Surveillance Audit of its ISO 27001:2013 certification for Information Communication Technology (ICT). This achievement underscores AKU’s commitment to maintaining the highest standards of information security across its operations in Pakistan, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, and the UK.
The successful audit is a testament to the university’s rigorous approach to information security management. AKU’s Information Security Management Review Committee (IS-MRC) has played a pivotal role in ensuring the successful implementation and maintenance of the Information Security Management System (ISMS). The committee’s proactive efforts in identifying potential risks, implementing preventive measures, and conducting regular reviews have been instrumental in safeguarding AKU’s sensitive information and critical systems.
