Pakistani cybersecurity entrepreneur and technology leader, Shahmeer Amir, has been nominated for the Cyber Security Leader of the Year award at the 2026 Cybersecurity Awards. The nomination places him among the finalists selected for the 10th Annual Cybersecurity Awards, which recognize professionals, companies, and organizations contributing to the cybersecurity industry. The Cybersecurity Association announced that finalists for the awards were selected by an independent panel of judges represented by leaders from different fields. Winners from each category will be announced during the 10th Annual Cybersecurity Awards Celebration on September 30, 2026. Alongside the main award categories, the People’s Choice Award will be determined through public voting, allowing the cybersecurity community to support their preferred finalist.
Shahmeer Amir has been included among the finalists eligible for the People’s Choice Award, with voting currently open until Friday, September 25, 2026, at 5 PM. Supporters can cast their vote through the official Cybersecurity Awards People’s Choice voting form here. Each email address can submit only one vote, while duplicate submissions, automated voting methods, or submissions made through unusual rapid activity will not be included in the final voting count. The Cybersecurity Association has also invited participants to register for the awards celebration, which will bring together cybersecurity companies, professionals, and industry stakeholders to recognize this year’s winners.

Amir has built his career around cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, communication technologies, and digital identity security through multiple technology ventures. He is the Founder, CEO, and CTO of Speeqr, where he leads business strategy and technical execution to develop communication solutions for the next generation of digital connectivity. Since founding the company in 2022, he has overseen a team working across engineering, product development, and management while focusing on scalable infrastructure, real-time communication technologies, AI-driven features, and security-focused solutions. Alongside Speeqr, Amir serves as the Chief Technology Officer at Veiliux, a cybersecurity company focused on security solutions and technology services. In this role, he leads technology strategy, architecture development, innovation initiatives, and digital transformation efforts. He previously founded and served as CEO of Veiliux, where he focused on building cybersecurity solutions, developing business strategies, managing operations, and helping organizations strengthen their security practices.
Amir is also the Founder of Scanifier, an AI-based security platform focused on combining autonomous vulnerability scanning capabilities with cloud security solutions. As the Founder and Product Architect, he manages product vision, technical research and development, architecture decisions, and platform improvements aimed at supporting modern enterprise security requirements. In addition to his cybersecurity ventures, Amir is an Associate Founder of Authiun, a digital identity security platform focused on passwordless and device-based authentication. The platform works on enabling users to secure online accounts through different devices and authentication methods, including mobile technology and biometric-based solutions. Amir is also a Council Member of the Forbes Technology Council, where he contributes insights related to cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, technology strategy, and digital transformation. He additionally serves as a Partner for EC-Council University, supporting cybersecurity education initiatives and helping connect professionals with advanced learning opportunities in the field.
Through his leadership roles across Veiliux, Speeqr, Scanifier, and Authiun, Shahmeer Amir has contributed to cybersecurity consulting, AI-driven security solutions, secure authentication technologies, and communication platforms.
